1954 Ceramic Time-Honored Scenic Area is located in the core area of Kunlun Town, Zichuan District, a characteristic town in China, covering a land area of 130,000 square meters and a total construction area of 132,000 square meters. It is a 2A-level scenic spot, with old buildings (from 1903 to 1970s) covering an area of 78,000 square meters. Built in 1954, it was originally Shandong Zibo Porcelain Factory, a provincial enterprise, and is now based on the preserved old factory buildings. With the design concept of ‘restoring the old as old, combining old and new’, international designers such as Jian Xueyi, Spanish Edwa, and German Biangheng Design have been employed to restructure and upgrade it to an international standard.
It integrates ceramic processing, display, exhibition, master studios, ceramic academies, Kunlun Ceramic Museum, Yan Xiangong Art Museum, and other venues along with supporting service facilities, forming a ceramic cultural characteristic industrial base.
