Zhu Manhua, a preeminent master in the world of Chinese paper-cutting, is hailed as Yantai’s ‘living business card’. Over the years, Zhu Manhua has garnered numerous awards both internationally and domestically, too many to count. It has been jokingly said that in any paper-cutting competition, if Zhu Manhua participates, the gold prize is guaranteed. The museum displays Zhu Manhua’s paper-cutting works, characterized by their vivid human expressions, and lifelike depictions of flowers, birds, insects, and fish, immersing visitors in the aesthetic pleasure and joy that beauty brings.
