Tongzhou Island, also known as ‘Da Tongzhou’, is named after the legendary medicine saint from the Yellow Emperor’s period, Tong Jun, who cultivated herbs on the island. It is one of the ancient river islets on the Fuchun River and the first sand island encountered when entering the territory of Fuyang. It is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
