Fenghuang Park is a slender, elongated park that extends into the Danjing-Lijiang-Li Canal in Liyang, and was originally established in 1990.

The park is lush with trees and features small bridges and ponds, making it a popular spot for locals to relax and take walks. Children can enjoy boat rides on the water, and in the summer, the park is adorned with blooming lotus flowers, offering a picturesque backdrop for photography.

The park derives its name from the two nearby bluestone double bridges (also known as Phoenix Bridges).

The park is divided into nine scenic areas: Yinlv Lake, Stele Forest, Rare Bamboo Garden, Landscape Garden, Flower Nursery, Children’s Playground, Peony Garden, Plum Garden, and Yiyuan Pavilion. The main structures and attractions include the ‘Washing Silk Woman’, ‘Phoenix Hall’, ‘Nanmu Hall’, ‘Tiemu Hall’, and the ‘Tang Dynasty Stone Well Curb’, as well as the renowned ‘Chunhua Pavilion Stele Corridor’.

A valuable feature within the park is a well-preserved Tang Dynasty stone well curb. This coarse and heavy well curb stands at 54 centimeters tall, with 18 lines on the outer side, inscribed with 91 characters in intaglio script. Nearby are the Ming Dynasty Nanmu Hall and the Qing Dynasty Tiemu Hall, where the corridors of Nanmu Hall display replicas of the ‘Chunhua Pavilion Steles’, hailed as the ‘ancestor of calligraphy’. This stone carving is preserved in only two and a half sets nationwide, with half a set kept in Bieqiao Town, Liyang City.

The park is open year-round from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
