Shí Lǐ Láng Gāng, also known as Láng Gāng Ridge, was originally called Mén Bì Ridge. It refers to the mountain range located to the east of Tianzhu Mountain, to the west of Longjing Village, and to the northeast of Meijiawu Village. Nowadays, it is commonly referred to as ‘Láng Gāng Ridge’, extending from the south at Wuyun Mountain to the north near Tianzhu, spanning several kilometers, hence the name ‘Ten Miles of Láng Gāng’.

The geological and geomorphological features of the Shí Lǐ Láng Gāng scenic area are primarily composed of limestone, which has naturally formed a landscape of layered peaks and diverse mountain forests, making it one of the longer ridges in the West Lake mountain range with an average altitude of over 200 meters, offering expansive views and serene beauty.

The main natural landscape within the scenic area is the continuous tea mountains. From an open vantage point, the vast tea mountains are distinctly layered, lush with greenery, and very pleasing to the eye, making it a sacred place for tea plantation photography.
