The China National Theatre for Children (CNTC) was established in 1956. Over the decades, CNTC has created and performed numerous excellent theatrical works from ancient and modern times, at home and abroad. Its performance footprints have spread across the country. It has also gone to Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Australia, Mexico, the United States, India and other countries for exchange performances, winning wide acclaim.


The main works of CNTC over the years include ‘The Magic Aster’, ‘A Revolutionary Family’, ‘The Young Guards’, ‘In the Name of Revolution’, ‘Yue Yun’, ‘Newsboys’, ‘There is Such a Small Courtyard’, ‘Twelve Months’, etc. In recent years, the main works include ‘The Gingerbread Man’, ‘Little Tadpole Looking for Mom’, ‘Little Rabbit Run Fast’, ‘Aesop’s Fables’, ‘The Little Prince’, ‘The Frog Prince’, ‘Naive Cat and Sly Mouse’, ‘The Little Match Girl’, ‘Adventures of Little Cloth Head’, ‘Aspirations’, ‘Chinese Stories in Your Pocket’, etc.
