Jingxi Ancient Road is located in Mentougou District, Beijing. Shortly after entering Shuiyuzui Village, one will arrive at the North Road Ruins, which has become a tourist attraction. The road connects the imperial capital to the frontier in the west and is an important route out of the capital in the western Beijing area, with a history of thousands of years. The ancient roads mainly include commercial paths, military roads, waterways, and pilgrimage paths, all of which are well-preserved and interconnected.

The section from Shuiyuzui to Dongshiguyan Village belongs to the North Road of the Western Hills Ancient Road, essentially following the Yongding River Valley. It is a historic ancient road in western Beijing with a moderate intensity, suitable for most people to visit. Along the way, there are attractions such as Ma Zhiyuan’s former residence, Jiuyuan Village, Ancient Road Museum, and Military Bar.

Upon entering the village, one will find many reliefs and sculptures depicting the ancient road’s style on both sides of the road, which are vivid and very interesting. Further ahead lies the Niujiaoling Pass City, and along the way, one can also find many hoof prints left from that time.
