The Oriental Bird World covers an area of about 25 hectares. There are more than a thousand rare birds belonging to more than 60 species from all over the world. The main scenic spots include the Peacock Flying Southeast performance, the Bird Knowledge Hall, the Little Bird Market, the Parrot World, the Flamingo Bay, the Ostrich Garden, the Peacock Garden, the Cormorant Bay, the Comprehensive Garden of Waterfowl, the Raptor Garden, the Swan Lake, the Pheasant Garden, the Pigeon Square, and the Incubation Center.
It covers six bird species: waterfowl, wading birds, climbing birds, songbirds, raptors, and walking birds. Thus, a colorful bird world is formed. In the Bird Knowledge Hall, there are a variety of bird specimens, bird eggs of different sizes and colors, feathers, etc. on display. And there are simulated environments suitable for birds such as wetlands and mountains. There are popular science knowledge about bird evolution, bird migration, bird reproduction, and bird survival. Multimedia teaching allows children to learn while having fun and have a deeper understanding and cognition of birds and nature. Peacock Flying Southeast. The peacock is known as the king of birds. It is a beautiful ornamental bird and a symbol of beauty, luxury, and auspiciousness. The peacock’s head is emerald green, and the crest is blue-green and pointed. The upper tail coverts are extremely long, forming a tail screen. When it spreads its tail, it is like a round fan, bright and beautiful. The Peacock Flying Southeast performance is very spectacular and beautiful. Hundreds of peacocks perform affectionately. In the Comprehensive Garden of Waterfowl, dozens of precious and rare bird species live leisurely in the lake in the park. Every morning and evening, this is an interesting bird watching station. With a long neck, thin legs, a white body, and a pointed beak… Against the backdrop of waterscapes and woods, a group of holy angels suddenly appear in your sight. Yes, this is Flamingo Bay. Flamingos from Africa are flapping their beautiful feathers to welcome you. In the Raptor Garden. In the ecosystem, raptors have a smaller number of individuals than other groups, but they are at the top of the food chain and play a very important role.Also nicknamed the ‘fighter’. As you enter the park, you will find it distinctive in character. When exploring this exhibition area, you can observe their sharp talons and spread wings up close.
Ostrich Garden African ostriches are the largest, heaviest, and fastest-running birds in the world today. They are the only species in the ostrich order and a representative of the ratites. They can reach up to 3 meters in height, and their eggs are the largest in the world. They possess the world’s largest eye globes, beautiful and bright. Next to the ostriches, you will find the emus, which resemble them in appearance, being amiable, gentle, and well-behaved.
Cormorant Bay In Cormorant Bay resides the strong creature of land, sea, and air—the cormorant. Also known as the fish eagle or water duck, cormorants are among the most outstanding fishing birds. A few fishermen in the southern water towns use them as fishing tools. There is a poem in the Book of Songs describing the cormorant: ‘Guan Guan Ju Jiu, on the isle of the river. A gentle and graceful young lady, a good match for a gentleman.’ The ‘Ju Jiu’ in the poem refers to the cormorant, symbolizing a happy and fulfilling marriage.
Swan Lake Swans have long been recognized by people. Due to their pure white feathers, elegant posture, moving calls, and loyal behavior, both Eastern and Western cultures have unanimously chosen the white swan as a symbol of purity, loyalty, and nobility. In our Oriental Bird World, we have various types of swans such as black swans, great swans, and mute swans. Swans are exceptional flyers, capable of reaching altitudes of up to 9 kilometers and flying over the world’s highest peak—Mount Everest.
