Donghua University, established in 1951, was originally known as the East China Textile Engineering Institute. In 1985, it was renamed China Textile University and in 1999, it became Donghua University. It is one of the first universities in China to be authorized to confer doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees and is part of the 211 Project, a group of higher education institutions. The university has two main campuses, located in Changning District and Songjiang University Town, covering an area of nearly 2000 acres with a beautiful and pleasant campus environment, recognized as a Shanghai garden unit.
In addition to the Changning campus at No. 1882 Yan’an West Road, there is another campus located at No. 2999 Renmin North Road, Songjiang New City, which covers 1500 acres and features the only national ecological water conservancy scenic spot in the Songjiang University area – Jingyue Lake.Donghua University (Yan’an Road Campus)
