Yi Cang Art Museum, originally a coal silo on the site of a former Shanghai coal transportation dock, has been repurposed while preserving its original architecture and landscape. It has been transformed into an art ‘warehouse’ that carries the essence of the arts. The museum focuses on diversity, openness, exchange, and learning, maintaining an international perspective and interdisciplinary integration. It showcases modern design and aesthetics in life, while continuously paying attention to contemporary art with a focus on Asia. With innovative curatorial concepts and technology, the museum becomes a stage for the public’s artistic and cultural experience, allowing them to draw inspiration, gain new knowledge, and enhance their aesthetic appreciation of life. The museum is open year-round from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00; closed all day on Mondays; and open from 10:00 to 18:00 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.
