The Shen Shou Art Museum showcases a collection of historical photos and embroidery artifacts of Shen Shou, a master of modern Chinese embroidery, along with the essence of embroidery art by him and his disciples. Shen Shou was not only an outstanding embroidery artist but also an experienced embroidery educator. In 1914, Zhang Jian founded the Women’s Handicraft Training Institute in Nantong, Jiangsu. Shen Shou was employed to come to Nantong and served as the director and instructor.
