Exhibition theme: The changes of life. The magnificent ‘flying flowers’ – butterflies are the main focus, supplemented by the ‘armored warriors’ – beetles. A total of more than 100 boxes and nearly 500 species of specimens are displayed, supplemented by live insects for interaction. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Through the beauty of metamorphosis, evolution, and change of butterflies and beetles, scientific knowledge and life insights about ‘life’ and ‘change’ are conveyed to exhibition visitors. This exhibition covers all categories of butterflies and beetles. Moreover, all exhibits are personally crafted by the specimen-making team for Shandong Provincial Museum.
