The West Sea Art Museum is a non-profit art institution. It is located on the south bank of Tangdao Bay in the West Coast New District of Qingdao and within the international comprehensive art community – West Sea Art Bay. It is the core institution that constitutes the art ecology of the community. The museum is designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel. It is committed to presenting various art forms such as classics and contemporary, fashion and design, music and performances to the public through cross-cultural and cross-media artistic innovation expressions.
Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:30 to 17:00; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 09:30 to 17:00 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.
Preferential policies:
For the elderly: People over 80 years old (excluding 80) can enter for free with the original of their relevant certificates; people aged 60 (excluding 60) to 80 years old (including 80) can enjoy preferential tickets.
For children: Children under 1.2m (excluding 1.2m) can enter for free. Each free child needs to be accompanied by at least one adult to visit. Minors over 1.2m (including 1.2m) can enjoy preferential tickets.
For military personnel: Active-duty military personnel can enter for free with the original of their relevant certificates. Veterans can enjoy preferential tickets with valid certificates.
For people with disabilities: People with disabilities can enter for free with the original of their relevant certificates.
For college students: College students can enjoy preferential tickets with their student certificates.
