Hongjialou Catholic Church, officially known as the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hongjialou, is commonly referred to as Honglou Church. It is one of the iconic buildings in Jinan and an important symbol of Jinan’s cultural belt.
The church is located in the eastern part of Jinan city, Shandong Province, on the north side of Honglou Square in Licheng District, adjacent to the old campus of Shandong University, and named after Hongjialou Village. It is one of the largest Catholic churches in Jinan city and the North China region, as well as one of the three famous Catholic churches in China, holding an important position in modern Chinese religious architecture.
Opening hours are from Monday to Friday, 09:00-11:00 and 14:00-16:00; Saturday, 14:00-16:00; and Sunday, 10:00-16:00. Please note that specific business hours are subject to the church’s daily operations.
