Dahan Pond, the site of the ancient city of Lujiang Commandery during the Han Dynasty. Shu County was the administrative center of Lujiang Commandery during the Two Han Dynasties, but the location of this commandery city was only generally agreed upon in the last century, identified as Chengcheng Village in the southwest of Lujiang County. With the addition of archaeological discoveries, this has been largely confirmed by the historical community. The area’s rise to fame as an ‘internet-famous check-in spot’ is a more recent phenomenon. Since the CCTV broadcasted the stunning image of the redwood forest in a reservoir at this location at the end of the ‘News Broadcast’, the place known as ‘Dahan Pond’ has gained significant fame. Open all year round from 09:00 to 17:30.
