The ‘Yunlong Lake Water World’ is located on the picturesque island in the center of Yunlong Lake. Its unique design resembles a whale breaching the water or a white dolphin lying on the waves, exuding the artistic atmosphere of modern architectural sculpture. Under the bright sun, it appears exceptionally beautiful against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains and vast azure waters. As night falls and the lights come on, it transforms into a crystal-clear, dazzling spectacle that shines brightly amidst the night of Yunlong Lake. The architectural design of the Water World has been included in the second floor of the Central Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing as one of the five modern architectural sculptures featured in the ‘Splendid China’ purple sand relief.
The newly renovated aquarium is divided into eight themed areas: the Near Sea Wonders Zone, Interactive Multimedia Zone, Freshwater Ecology Zone, Tropical Rainforest Zone, Mysterious Culture Zone, Rare Fish Zone, Underwater Tunnel Zone, and 4D Motion Cinema. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round. Preferential policies include: Children: Free for those under 1.4 meters (inclusive); half price for those between 1.4 meters (exclusive) and 1.5 meters (inclusive). Students: Half price with a valid student ID. Elderly: Free for those aged 70 years and above with ID; half price for those aged between 60 years (inclusive) and 70 years (exclusive) with ID.
