Located in Yangjiang, Hailing Island is known as the “Southern Beidaihe” and the “Hawaii of the East”, and is hailed as an unpolished emerald. Yangjiang Hailing Island Zhapo Dajiao Bay covers an area of 147,000 square meters, with a beach length of 2.45 kilometers, and a width of 50-60 meters. The spiral-shaped bay resembles a giant cow’s horn, hence the name “Dajiao Bay”. The seawater in Dajiao Bay is azure, and the sand is clean, making it ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and sand bathing.
Mawei Island is situated at the southwest end of Hailing Island, connected to Zhapo Town’s mountain ranges. The coastline is winding with many bays, and the longer beach loop is 1 kilometer, surrounded by the sea on three sides, making it a peninsula. The island is covered with shade trees, and along the winding paths, there are large rocks scattered along the beach, some round and flat, others rugged and steep, resembling tigers and lions in their peculiar shapes. This is the western corner of the island, a great spot to watch the sunset, and when the sky is filled with rosy clouds, many tourists stop here to wait for the “Mawei Sunset”. There are beach volleyball, football, beach parasailing, camel beach rides, laser shooting, and other sports facilities on the island, allowing you to fully enjoy a happy life. Dajiao Bay is a highly renowned scenic spot on Hailing Island, and is known together with Yangxi Shaba Moon Bay as the “Sister Bays”.
