The Xijiang Tower was first built in the Song Dynasty and was originally named Xijiang Pavilion. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt into a tower. The tower has two floors and is octagonal in shape, with corridors connecting each other. There are views on all eight sides. Because there are wooden carved Buddha statues on all four sides inside the pavilion, it is also known as the Four-Faced Buddha Pavilion.
The Xijiang Tower is located on the top of Jiaoshan Mountain. Watching the sunrise in the morning, enjoying the moonlight at night, and watching the solitary sail disappearing at the end of the blue sky are quite interesting. Zheng Banqiao, after climbing the tower, sighed: ‘Draw in the river water to boil new tea, and buy all of Wushan to make a painting screen.’ For specific opening hours, please consult the scenic area.Xijiang Tower
