Tieling Pass, also known as Fengqiao enemy tower, was built in 1557 AD (the 36th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty). It is the only relatively well-preserved relic of the anti-Japanese pirate pass tower in Suzhou. Now it is located in Fengqiao Scenic Area and belongs to Fengqiao Scenic Area. After seeing Fengqiao, then there is Tieling Pass. In the early morning of April 27, 1949, the 85th and 86th divisions of the 29th Army of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army fired the first shot to liberate Suzhou City at Fengqiao. After defeating the defenders at Fengqiao and Tieling Pass, they entered Suzhou City and announced the liberation of the ancient city of Suzhou. Therefore, Fengqiao Tieling Pass is also an important patriotic education place in Suzhou. Tieling Pass is now a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit. The specific business status of the opening hours is subject to the opening situation on that day.
