The former residence of Su Manshu is located in Lixi Village, Qianshan Town. Su Manshu (1884 – 1918), formerly known as Xuanying and with the courtesy name Ziguyu, is a famous patriotic poet and writer in modern China. His former residence is in Sujia Lane of Lixi Village. It was originally built by his grandfather Su Ruiwen. It is a small bungalow with blue bricks and a civil structure, covering an area of more than 40 square meters.
Su Manshu was born in Japan. From the age of 6 to 13, he returned to his hometown and studied at the Jian’s Ancestral Hall. He was deeply loved by his enlightenment teacher Su Ruoquan. In 1984, the former residence of Su Manshu was repaired as an overseas Chinese house. In 1986, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Zhuhai City.
