The Sino-German Paleontology Museum is the main exhibition hall of the Jinzhou Paleontological Fossil and Granite National Geopark in Yizhou, Liaoning Province. It also serves as a Liaoning Provincial Science Popularization Base and a Yizhou County Science Education Demonstration Base. The museum was officially completed and opened to the public on August 18, 2008.
Located 13 kilometers northwest of Yixian County in Jinzhou City, beside National Highway G305 in Hejiaxin Village, Toutai Town, the museum covers an area of 40,000 square meters. Its design prominently highlights the characteristics of paleontological fossils.


The scenic area features a paleontological fossil exhibition hall, a fossilized wood forest, a professional excavation site, Jingsi Lake, a log cabin camping area, and other garden landscapes. Leveraging its unique advantages, the Sino-German Paleontology Museum not only carries out geological tourism and geoscience popularization but also undertakes global business in the reproduction and rental of paleontological models. It has specially developed courses for youth extracurricular practice, including DIY small fossil model making, stratigraphic section investigation and identification, simulated fossil excavation and restoration, making it a popular base for study tours and parent-child trips.

Opening hours: 04/01-10/07 08:30-16:30; 10/08-03/31 09:30-15:30. In case of special circumstances requiring closure, please pay attention to the official announcements of the scenic area.

Children: Free for those under 1.1 meters (excluding 1.1 meters).


Children/Students: Half price for children with height of 1.1 meters (including 1.1 meters) and above, and full-time university students with bachelor’s degree or below, holding valid student ID.


Seniors: Half price for those aged 60 (including 60) and above, holding valid ID or senior citizen card.


Disabled persons: Half price with valid ID.


Police officers: Free with valid ID.


Active-duty military personnel and disabled military personnel: Free with valid ID.
