Yanqing Museum is located in the bustling commercial area along the main road of Yanqing city (No. 24 Gui Shui North Street), formerly known as the Yanqing County Cultural Relics Management Office’s exhibition and storage facility. The museum covers an area of over 6100 square meters, with an exhibition area of more than 2400 square meters.
Yanqing Museum is built upon the collection, procurement, and archaeological findings from the Yanqing area, along with the absorption of Beijing’s historical, cultural, and archaeological research achievements. It also draws on the successful experiences of museums worldwide. The exhibition areas are distributed across the first to third floors of the museum, displaying over 1000 artifacts and more than 500 valuable photographs. Yanqing Museum is not only a significant cultural institution but also a base for cultural relic protection, research, and the dissemination of patriotism, history, and scientific knowledge to the public and young people in the Yanqing area. It is an ideal place for people from all walks of life to understand Yanqing’s history, study its culture, and experience its unique charm. Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with last admission at 4:00 PM, and the museum is closed on Mondays.Yanqing Museum
