Jin Street, one of the top ten famous commercial streets in China, was originally established in 1902 under the name of Du Consul Road and Roosevelt Road. In 1953, it was renamed to ‘Peace Road’ to embody the spirit of ‘loving peace’. It is the cradle of modern Tianjin commerce and a symbol of the city’s prosperity, as well as a source of pride for the people of Tianjin.
Jin Street is a comprehensive tourist, shopping, dining, entertainment, and leisure street. The 1.3-kilometer pedestrian street features street lamps and buildings designed in European style.
