The China Printing Museum was completed on June 1, 1996 after four years of preparation. To welcome the 7th World Printing Congress held in Beijing in 2001, our museum was renovated and a basement exhibition hall was built with an investment of 10 million yuan. After the renovation, the China Printing Museum has a total construction area of 8,100 square meters. It is equipped with ‘Ancient Hall’, ‘Modern and Contemporary Hall’, ‘Printing Equipment Hall’ and ‘Comprehensive Hall’. At the same time, there are also special exhibitions such as ‘Printing in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan’, ‘Currency Printing’, ‘Stamp Printing’, ‘Early Printing in Europe’ and ‘Exquisite Prints’. It is currently a large-scale printing museum in the world.


Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, 09:00 – 17:00; Closed all day on Monday throughout the year; Open from 09:00 – 17:00 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.
