The Tianjin Concert Hall, originally known as the Ping’an Cinema, was first established in 1922.

The concert hall is divided into several sections including the lobby, main hall (auditorium), stage (performance hall), backstage (dressing rooms), rehearsal hall, and VIP reception hall. The interior is meticulously designed to meet the acoustic requirements for hosting large-scale symphony concerts, taking into account the performance of large orchestras, increasing the stage area, and appropriately expanding the auditorium area.

The performance platform is located on one side of the auditorium and can accommodate a 120-member orchestra. The platform features five lift stages, with a large instrument lift at the front and a choir area at the back that can be used by a choir of up to 80 people.

The audience seating in the concert hall is designed with great attention to human comfort, ensuring that every seat offers a clear view of the performers on stage. The special design of the seats not only absorbs sound but also has vents under each seat to regulate temperature, ensuring that every audience member can fully enjoy the high-quality performance environment.

Since its reopening, the Tianjin Concert Hall has hosted many renowned international and domestic orchestras and artists, including Tang Muhai, Yu Long, Wang Jian, Yin Chengzong, Ding Yi, Yuan Chenye, Li Guangqi, Sheng Zhongguo, Caidan Zhuoma, Pu Cunxin, Xiao Xiong, Ding Jianhua, Mei Ting, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Colombian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Haydn Quartet, and Giacomini, all of whom have performed here to great success.

The Tianjin Concert Hall uses an advanced international ticketing system that enables online seat selection, online payment, and mobile e-tickets, making it easy for audiences to purchase tickets for performances online.

The opening hours vary depending on the performance, so please refer to the day’s public notice at the venue for specific times.
