The Clay Figurine Zhang Art Museum is located in Tongqingli, Ancient Culture Street. It is a private art museum funded by the descendants of the Clay Figurine Zhang family. It houses more than 300 sets of works of the six generations of Clay Figurine Zhang’s descendants. Currently, nearly a hundred pieces are on display. The current curator, Zhang Yu, is the sixth generation descendant of ‘Clay Figurine Zhang’.
Currently, there are more than a hundred famous works of the Zhang family’s past generations on display in the museum. Several sets of works by Zhang Mingshan collected in the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace are replicated. There are nearly a thousand historical documents and historical photos. Among them are many artistic masterpieces with historical and economic value. For example, ‘Portrait of Yu Sansheng’ in Mr. Zhang Mingshan’s works. Most Peking Opera history books use it as the opening of Peking Opera history. It is of precious economic value. Similar works are too numerous to enumerate.
