Xiqing Country Park is located in the southwest of Tianjin city, bordered by Dagu Paihe to the east, Tuanbo Expressway to the west, Duliu Jianhe to the south, and Ronghua Road to the north, with a planned total area of 35.8 square kilometers, of which water area accounts for 24%. The first phase of Xiqing Country Park, covering nearly 15 square kilometers, began construction in October 2012.
Adhering to the construction philosophy of ‘large green, wild interest, ecology, and nature’, the park highlights the construction characteristics of ‘forest as the body, wilderness as the soul, and water as the rhythm’. It has undertaken large-scale afforestation and greening, preserved original landforms such as reed ponds and wetlands, and utilized existing fish ponds to excavate lakes and circular waterways. The first phase of the project plans to plant 12,800 mu of forest, 1.2 million trees, build 200,000 square meters of roads, and lay train tracks. The entire park has formed a water ecological system of ‘two lakes, four islands, and one loop’, offering a picturesque scenery of shimmering water and cascading streams. Additionally, the park includes agricultural areas, ecological breeding areas, high-quality agricultural product planting areas, high-quality rice planting areas, lotus planting areas, sunflower planting areas, and herb planting areas. Visitors can fully enjoy the agricultural culture here, pick high-quality organic agricultural products, and experience modern agricultural production. People can fish, barbecue, and enjoy the wild fun, and also experience a fisherman’s life. The park is open year-round from 08:00 to 17:00.
