Tao Liu Di is located on a long embankment hundreds of meters south of the Gubei Canal. Every Qingming Festival, willows release their silk threads and peach blossoms bloom in red, attracting a continuous stream of visitors who come to enjoy the scenery and appreciate the flowers.

It is said that during the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qianlong, while boating on the Grand Canal, greatly admired the red peaches and green willows along the North Canal, and even wrote two poems titled ‘Xigou’ to commemorate the scene. Today, this place has been developed into several attractions including ‘Emperor Qianlong’s Ascension Site’, ‘Tao Liu Di Monument’, ‘Dragon Pavilion’, and ‘Garden within a Garden’.

Since 1990, a Peach Blossom Festival has been held here annually before Qingming Festival, gathering various folk performances, calligraphy and painting exhibitions, and bonsai shows. The natural and cultural landscapes blend harmoniously, complementing each other. The site is open all year round, 24 hours a day, with specific business hours subject to daily conditions.
