The Shoude Building was constructed in 1936 and originally belonged to Hu Shoutian, the manager of the DeTai Foreign Trade Company. He combined the characters ‘Shou’ and ‘De’ to form ‘Shoude’, hence naming the building Shoude Building. It now serves as the Goubuli Hotel. The exterior is open to the public at all times, while the interior’s operational status is subject to the day’s opening conditions.
