Tianfu Official Post Station, also known as ‘Tianfu Post Station’, is located at the bottom of the pit near Tianlong Bridge in the Three Natural Bridges scenic area. The post station was built in the second year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty (619). It is an antique quadrangle courtyard with grey walls and black tiles. It was rebuilt at a cost of tens of millions by Zhang Yimou when he filmed the movie ‘Curse of the Golden Flower’. In ‘Curse of the Golden Flower’, the chasing scene at Tianfu Official Post Station was filmed here. In the film, assassins fall directly from the surrounding precipices. People in the official post station are like turtles in a jar with no way to escape. There is an exhibition room about the movie ‘Curse of the Golden Flower’ inside the post station. Inside the room, props and armors from the movie are on display. There is also a small post office inside the post station. You can buy postcards and send them from here.
