The Chuanhegai tourist scenic area is located in Yongdong Township, Xiushan County, Chongqing City. It is about 40 kilometers away from the county seat and covers an area of 28 square kilometers. The average altitude of the scenic area is 950 meters. The average annual temperature is 12.1 degrees Celsius, and the forest coverage rate is 43%. ‘In spring, azaleas are everywhere; in summer, it is a cool place to escape the heat; in autumn, one can observe the autumn snow of Miscanthus; in winter, one can enjoy the scenery of northern countries.
‘ Chuanhegai mainly features azaleas, peculiar peaks and rocks, and the scenery of alpine grasslands. The geology on the cover is unique and rich in resources. Underground rivers run through the entire cover area. Scenic spots such as Jagged Rock, Golden Toad Seeking Phoenix, General Rock, Comb Mountain, and Zhu’s tragic love are breathtaking. It has the reputation of ‘China’s Table Mountain’. Featured projects in the scenic area: Cloud Ladder Cableway – with a total length of 1533. 23 meters and a vertical drop of 557.45 meters. Taking the cableway is like being in a cable car that pierces through clouds and fog. It is as if wandering in a fairyland on earth. The wonderful scenery is all in sight.On May 20, 2017, the Chuanhegai scenic area in Xiushan County was officially approved as a national AAAA-level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.
