Nangtan Bay is located at the southern end of Cheung Chau. In front of the bay, there is a rain shelter and an open platform area, which is Nangtan Park. In fact, it is just a rocky shore. There is a stone resembling an elephant by the shore, known as ‘elephant drinking water’. Inside the park, there is the famous Nangtan Tin Hau Temple. The Goddess of the Sea, Tin Hau, in the temple faces south and sits north. It backs against the mountains and faces the sea, enjoying a magnificent sea view. Looking afar, the water and sky merge into one color. It is secluded, tranquil, and integrated with nature. It is truly a rare pure land on earth.
