Da Tan Valley is a place abundant in ecological resources within Da Tan Country Park. Surrounded by high mountains such as Violet Hill, Jardine’s Lookout, Peel Rise, and Park Hill, the collected rainwater rushes into the deep valleys between the mountains, forming numerous clear streams that nourish the plants in the valley, making it a forest area with a very diverse range of biological species. A wide variety of flora and fauna can be found here. Agile red-bellied squirrels are often seen darting through the trees, and there are also many wild animals such as porcupines, weasels, needle-haired rats, small civets, and masked palm civets that frequently appear. The valley’s beautiful scenery has attracted countless visitors. The valley is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
