The Shun Yi Taiwan Indigenous People’s Museum is located in Taipei City, Taiwan, and is dedicated to the artifacts and history of Taiwan’s indigenous people. It was inaugurated in June 1994 under the auspices of the Lin Naiweng Cultural and Educational Foundation and with the sponsorship of Shun Yi Automobile Company, covering an area of approximately 300 square meters. The museum’s collections and exhibitions are planned based on anthropological principles.
The museum is divided into four main areas: the human and natural environment of Taiwan’s indigenous people at that time, their daily life and utensils, clothing and culture, and beliefs and rituals. The architectural design of the museum integrates the cultural characteristics of the indigenous people with modern styling, making it unique and innovative.
The museum is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; it is closed all day on Mondays and during the annual Lunar New Year holiday.
