Cuifeng Lake: A Forest Ecological Conservation Area
Cuifeng Lake, nestled within a forest ecological conservation area, offers a diverse range of natural experiences. At altitudes below 1850 meters, the landscape transitions from forest to grassland, with rush vegetation taking the lead. The lake’s shoreline is a haven for wildlife, particularly the mandarin duck, a precious bird species. To the north of the lake, a multitude of waterfowl gather, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the marvels of nature.
The ‘Cuifeng Dawn’ is an iconic sight for those visiting Taipingshan. The lake’s clear waters reflect the surroundings like a mirror, a spectacle that has earned it the moniker ‘Cuifeng Lake Reflection’. This natural mirror is also home to national treasure-level rare birds such as the Mikado Pheasant and the Swinhoe’s Pheasant, making it a must-see for bird enthusiasts.
