Welcome to the Sanya Coral Reef Ecological Research Institute, a cutting-edge platform for coral reef ecological research and a vital window for understanding and protecting marine ecosystems.
Sanya Coral Reef Ecological Research Institute is a new type of scientific research institution dedicated to the development of scientific research to promote the protection of coral reef ecological resources and the sustainable and coordinated development of local economies. It is also a coral reef research center supported by three major pillars: the Coral Reef Germplasm Research Laboratory, the Marine Ecological Environment Stress Research Laboratory, and the Marine Environment Monitoring Room.

Established in 2017 and located in the picturesque Sanya City, Hainan Province, the institute is one of the first入园 units of the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City and one of the first laboratories to be put into use. It is situated in Block B3 of the second phase of the Merchants Science and Innovation Plaza, covering an area of approximately 2100 square meters.

The huge coral sea tank allows you to see the clownfish Nemo from the animated movie, along with his good friend Dory, and a rich variety of corals. You may even have the opportunity to feed the corals yourself! You will have the chance to delve into the mysteries of coral reefs, witness the daily research activities of scientists, and participate in them.
