The Yinshan Mausoleum of the King of Yue Cultural Tourism Area is located on Yinshan Mountain within the territory of Lanting Town, 10 kilometers outside Shaoxing City. Due to its many similarities with the ‘Mukedazhong Tomb’ recorded in ‘Yuejueshu’ during the Spring and Autumn Period, it is speculated by experts to be the tomb of the royal family of Yue. In the spring of 1996, by chance, experts from the Zhejiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and local cultural relic protection experts found a large amount of green paste mud, charcoal, coffin wood fragments and obvious traces of tomb robbery when they checked here on their way.
