Situated within the Jiangnan Tianchi scenic area, Jiangnan Tianchi Ski Resort is the first large-scale ski resort in the Jiangnan region and remains one of the professional ski resorts in Jiangnan today. The ski slopes here are long and very wide, with excellent snow quality and comprehensive facilities, offering a great skiing experience amidst the beautiful scenery of the resort.
The ski resort is located in the Jiangnan Tianchi scenic area, characterized by rolling hills, dense forests, and the Tianchi Reservoir, presenting a picturesque landscape. Each winter, the area is abundant with snow, covering the trees and mountains in a blanket of white, and often adorned with rime ice on the trees, creating a stunningly beautiful world of crystal white. To ski at Jiangnan Tianchi Ski Resort, visitors must first purchase a general admission ticket for the Jiangnan Tianchi scenic area. The ski resort typically opens at the end of December and operates through February. The ski area is vast, with slopes approximately 800 meters long, 50 to 150 meters wide, and a drop of about 40 meters, including challenging skiing areas, gentle slopes, and flat areas for skiers of all levels. The resort is equipped with an automatic track that takes skiers directly to the top of the slopes, providing great convenience. Due to its high altitude, the area experiences about twenty snowfalls per year, and the adjacent Jiangnan Tianchi provides ample water for artificial snowmaking, ensuring an abundant and high-quality snow supply for a delightful skiing experience. Beginners can hire instructors to quickly master basic techniques, and for those who do not wish to ski, there are entertainment options such as snow tubes, sleds, and snowmobiles to satisfy visitors’ recreational needs. The resort is open from December 20th to March 11th, from 08:00 to 17:00.
