Originally named Lingshun Temple, this temple is located on the summit of Beigao Peak in Hangzhou. It was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is one of the ‘Five Spirits’ (Lingjiu, Lingyin, Lingfeng, Lingshun, and Lingshan) built by the eminent Indian monk Huili in Hangzhou. It has a history of more than 1600 years. In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, as the temple enshrined the ‘Five Manifestation Wealth Gods’, people began to call it the ‘Wealth God Temple’. Because the Wealth God Temple is located at the highest peak in Hangzhou, emperors and literati of all dynasties often visited. Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty all inscribed inscriptions for it. According to folklore, the Wealth God Temple is very efficacious, so many people come here to pray for blessings. In addition, on a clear day, on the platform of Beigao Peak to the east of Lingshun Temple, the surrounding mountains are in full view and the view is very open. Opening hours: Open all year round from 7:30 to 17:00.
