Suzhou Oceanarium is a large comprehensive aquarium, including three themed sections: aquarium, diving hall and ocean theater. Here, you can not only appreciate the colorful marine organisms from all the oceans of the world and watch wonderful animal shows, but also go to the diving hall to have a close contact with the fish. One of the characteristics of Suzhou Oceanarium is the display of freshwater fish in the Yangtze River and Taihu Lake basins.
This is the only freshwater display area in China mainly featuring fish from the Yangtze River and Taihu Lake, among which there are national key protected animals such as Chinese sturgeon and Chinese alligator. In the marine animal display area, you can see rare marine organisms from all the oceans of the world, such as the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific Ocean. Walking through the long circular transparent tunnel is like reaching into the ocean, full of surprises. The indoor diving hall has a water depth of 15.8 meters and truly restores the original underwater coral environment of 40-60 meters deep in the Maldives. Tourists can swim in it and have a close contact with the fish. In the ocean theater, tourists can enjoy the wonderful performances brought by Japanese bottlenose dolphins and South American seals.
