Caoxi Park is renowned for its picturesque scenery, featuring charming small bridges and flowing streams, winding paths leading to secluded areas, and elegant pavilions and waterside structures. Exquisitely crafted peaks and peculiar rocks are scattered throughout the park, complemented by a variety of flora and fauna that are planted according to the landscape. The park boasts 70 different species of trees and 1590 flowers, with the southern part predominantly featuring peonies and Chinese herbs, while the northern part is known for its osmanthus and wintersweet.
The vegetation is strategically planted to enhance the park’s natural beauty: indoor bonsai, lotus in ponds, wintersweet by the mountains, osmanthus beside pavilions, and bamboo along the paths, each in its appropriate place.
