Daguan Garden Mei Garden features a recreation of the Red Chamber’s magnificent scenes using traditional Chinese garden art. It is one of the larger plum blossom viewing spots in Shanghai, covering an area of approximately 190 acres, with more than 5,000 plum trees and over 40 varieties. Surrounding the garden are a set of Jiangnan-style ancient buildings, complemented by exotic flowers and plants, as well as ancient trees and elegant bamboo. The plum trees are harmoniously integrated with other plants and the Jiangnan courtyard architecture, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere. There are many ancient plum trees over a hundred years old, including famous varieties such as Lüe, Zhusha, and Gulihong. Within the Mei Garden stands the Lengxiang Pavilion, where one can exclusively admire a rare and precious ‘Yinhong Taige’ old plum tree. The garden is open all year round from 08:15 to 16:15, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status. For preferential policies, children under 1.3 meters (inclusive) in height enter for free. Service facilities include a parking lot: [Daguan Garden Mei Garden Parking Lot] with a reference price of ¥10 per hour; located at No. 701 Jinsha Highway, Qingpu District, Shanghai; with 50 parking spaces.
