Tao’s Ancient Residence, originally the home of Qing Dynasty scholar-merchant Tao Changqing, was first constructed in 1908. The main building covers an area of 1590 square meters with a construction area of 1246 square meters. Over the course of history, as the Tao family declined and relocated, this century-old mansion gradually fell into desolation and decay. After the liberation, it successively served as the location for the Chuan Sha Towel Factory, Yuejin Middle School, Lishen Hardware and Plastic Products Factory, and Xingguang Daily Chemical Products Factory.
The Tao’s Ancient Residence has since been restored by the Zhongbang Group and now functions as the Zhongbang Art Museum, exhibiting works of various artists. The interior displays paintings by designers, a renovated café, and meeting rooms available for small gatherings and conferences. The opening hours and business status are subject to the day’s actual conditions.Tao’s Ancient Residence
