**Author’s Visit to Shanghai:**
On November 17, 2019, at 18:54, I embarked on a photography journey through the bustling city of Shanghai, accompanied by my friends. Our one-day adventure was filled with capturing the essence of this vibrant city.
**Exploring Nanjing Road:**
Nanjing Road, also known as the ‘Bund’, is a historic landmark that showcases a plethora of century-old buildings. This iconic street is home to four major global department stores, as well as several architectural gems from the past.
**Notable Landmarks:**
– **International Hotel (1934):** A testament to the city’s rich history, this hotel stands as a symbol of Shanghai’s golden era.
– **Huan Building (Now Jinmen Hotel):** Once a prominent building, it now operates as the Jinmen Hotel, continuing to serve as a landmark in the city.
– **Western Expatriates’ Club (Now Shanghai Sports Building):** This building has transformed over time but remains an important part of Shanghai’s cultural heritage.
– **New World Company (Now New World City):** Evolving with the city, it now stands as a modern commercial complex, New World City.
Our photography expedition was a memorable experience, capturing the blend of old and new that defines Shanghai. With each click of the shutter, we were able to immortalize the city’s spirit and its ever-changing skyline.
