Bao’en Temple, originally constructed during the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty in the Qianlong period, features a traditional quadrangle architectural style and served as an important place of Buddhist worship for monks from both the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The front hall of Bao’en Temple is dedicated to Maitreya, with a bronze statue of Maitreya Buddha enshrined in the center, flanked by statues of the four renowned ‘crazy monks’ from Chinese history.

The temple is open to visitors from 08:00 to 17:30 all year round.
