Established in September 2007, Beijing International Flower Port is a key functional component of the seventh China Flower Expo hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government. It is located in Yang Town, Shunyi District, Beijing, adjacent to Bai Ma Road and Mu Yan Road. With a superior location and convenient transportation, it has a total planning area of 4 square kilometers. Since its establishment, the Flower Port has been designated as the ‘Beijing Shunyi National Agricultural Science and Technology Park’ and a ‘National 4A Tourist Attraction’.
The construction of the Flower Port scenic area, from planning and design to comprehensive construction, has always been guided by scientific development and adhered to the principles of conservation, intensive use, ecology, technology, and sustainable development. It has ultimately achieved six major construction highlights: complete municipal supporting facilities, outstanding display effects, advanced heating technology, strong scientific support, distinct ecological characteristics, and significant sustainable development.
In terms of landscape construction, the Flower Port has created many beautiful landscapes such as the Earth Flower Sea, Cherry Blossom Avenue, Metasequoia Forest, Illusion Flower Lake, and the Wind Listening Pavilion. It also has immersive experience areas such as the Butterfly World, Tent Hotel, Book Reading House, Pet Paradise, and the Great Beauty Children’s World. Since its establishment, the Flower Port has hosted over 30 large-scale flower events, including the ‘Beijing Tulip Cultural Festival’, ‘Beijing Rose Cultural Festival’, ‘Beijing Lily Cultural Festival’, and ‘Beijing Chrysanthemum Cultural Festival’. These events have fostered domestic and international exchanges in the flower industry, and have spurred the integrated development of leisure tourism, cultural creativity, catering entertainment, and shopping in the surrounding areas. The Flower Port has also played a significant role in helping local farmers in the Shunyi East River area to prosper, creating an exhibition agriculture brand and becoming a beautiful urban business card for Shunyi District.
