Beining Park, also known as Ningyuan, is a garden-style urban park located on the northern side of Tianjin city. Established nearly 100 years ago and overseen by Yuan Shikai, the park was initially designed in the style of an imperial palace.
It boasts a multitude of trees and classical architecture, creating an environment that is simple yet elegant, making it an ideal place for relaxation and leisurely strolls. After renovations, the original amusement facilities have been removed, restoring the park to its former elegance as a classical garden. The park features several islets in the lake, connected by bridges. Notable buildings within the park include the Hongguan Tower, Changguan Tower, and Taoran Residence, all of which exude an antique charm and are perfect for photography. Many couples also choose these locations for their wedding photos. The most famous structure in the park is undoubtedly the Zhiyuan Tower, with its white body and grey tiles on each level, giving it a classic and antique appearance. Opposite the tower, there are murals depicting historical events, which are worth viewing. Additionally, there are sundials and other ancient instruments scattered throughout the park, contributing to its overall rustic and elegant ambiance. Apart from the beautiful environment and architecture, there is a rose garden on the western side of the park. Every spring and summer, roses bloom, providing a picturesque backdrop for photography. On the northern side of the park, there is a small Ningyuan Historical Exhibition Hall where visitors can view brief displays and learn about the history of Beining Park.
