This is the branch of Celebrity Teahouse located in the well-known scenic spot of Tianjin – Ancient Culture Street. The Celebrity Teahouse was planned and designed under the guidance and assistance of Mrs. Lao She, Hu Jieqing, and Mr. Wu Tongbin, serving as a venue for the exchange of famous figures in Tianjin’s quyi (traditional Chinese performing arts) circle. Mr. Ma Sanli inscribed the plaque of ‘Celebrity Teahouse’, and Mrs.
Hu Jieqing further enhanced the teahouse’s prestige by inscribing the characters ‘Celebrity’. The Tianjin Celebrity Teahouse Art Troupe was established in 2000, having successively established Yue Opera Troupe, Drum Song Troupe, and Peking Opera Troupe, and in March 2009, the Tianjin Celebrity Teahouse Crosstalk Art Troupe was also established.
