Dagukou Bridge, designed by the world-renowned bridge designer, Academician Deng Wen Zhong, spans 243 meters in length and 32 meters in width. The concept of the bridge is ‘Sun and Moon Shine Together’, and it is situated between Jiefang Bridge and Guangchang Bridge. Officially commenced on July 6, 2003, Dagukou Bridge became the first of the five newly constructed bridges along the Haihe River to open to traffic after more than a year of construction.
The main arch faces east, symbolizing the rising sun, while the smaller arch faces west, symbolizing the moon, forming a viewing platform where pedestrians can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Haihe River. The bridge is open to the public all year round, with full-day access.Dagukou Bridge: A Masterpiece of Bridge Design
