Located in the southern part of the Da Yang Mountain National Forest Park in Suzhou, the Botanical Garden Scenic Area, also known as ‘Suzhou Botanical Garden’, spans approximately 86 hectares. It is adjacent to Taihu Avenue, boasting lush trees, fresh air, and an extremely high concentration of negative oxygen ions, making it a rare ‘urban lung’.
The northern part of the park is dedicated to scientific and ornamental plant areas as well as specialized gardens; the southern part is designed for leisure and entertainment, highlighting the entertainment, ornamental value, and interactive relationships with plants; the eastern part is an introduction and cultivation area, where a large number of rare plant species have been introduced and planted.
The park is open all year round from 09:00 to 16:30, with night admission starting after 16:30.
Preferential policies include: Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.4 meters in height (inclusive) enter for free with valid identification, accompanied by an adult; Minors aged 6 to 18 (inclusive) enjoy half-price admission with valid documents; Students with full-time undergraduate or lower-level student status enjoy half-price admission with a full-time student ID; Elderly aged 60 to 70 (inclusive) enjoy half-price admission with a ‘Senior Citizen Preferential Certificate’ or valid ID; those aged 70 and above enter for free with a ‘High-Age Certificate’ or valid ID; Disabled persons enter for free with a ‘Disability Certificate’, and one accompanying person for severely disabled individuals is also free with valid identification; Active-duty military personnel enter for free with a military ID; Retired military officers enter for free with a retirement certificate; Firefighters enter for free with a firefighter ID; National medical workers enter for free with a physician’s certificate during Doctor’s Day and a nurse’s certificate during Nurse’s Day; Holders of the High-Tech Talent Card/Suzhou Talent City Courtesy Card enter for free with their respective cards.
